Scribes of the Curious, fuelled by questions and intrigue.
As children, we are encouraged to ask questions, learn new things and develop ourselves as much as possible – but this disappears as we age. In adulthood, it’s easy to lose your curiosity and get bogged down in the 9-5.
We’re here to bring that back.
What do we write about?
At Weirdsmiths, we write about just about anything that is of interest to us, whether that be oddities, regularities or just the simply mundane. Weirdsmiths was created under the idea that we just stop asking questions at a certain point in life, so any time we have a question that may be unanswered, we research it and we write about it, so you don’t have to.
What is weird to one person might be completely normal to the next, and what’s wonderful to one might be boring to another; but one thing remains the same throughout all of it…
…we’re all pretty interesting.
Why do we write it?
Well, someone has to right?
But in all seriousness, we write because we enjoy it. Questions are like a hidden itch that you can’t scratch until you know the answer, but sometimes you might not know you want an answer until you first discover the question.
Our library of content is designed for those who stay up late letting their mind wander, or sit in coffee shops and don’t want to read a standard old book. It’s for anyone really, but it’s most importantly for those who are curious.
